Music on the grand scale sets the tone for this terrific finale to the 2016/17 season. The soloist in Grieg’s majestic piano concerto will be performed by LFO artistic director Marc Corbett Weaver following the overture to Mozart’s mischievous opera Le Nozze di Figaro and before Beethoven’s magnificent 5th symphony.
The concert will be conducted by our very own Michael Thrift, the Australian conductor and member of the Firebird Conductor’s Circle.
