Simon Callow has played roles ranging from Mozart and Napoleon to Charles Dickens and is instantly recognisable on film, television and stage.\nFirebird Festival Nights is a collaboration between Firebird and Yury Revich’s Festival Nights series, which takes place principally in Vienna.\nThe main feature of this programme is an arrangement of Beethoven’s dazzling Kreutzer Sonata for Violin and String Orchestra, which will be narrated with excerpts from Leo Tolstoy’s book on the same subject.\nThis is complemented by beautifully melodious compositions by Yury alongside popular virtuoso works by Massenet and Sarasate.\nThe fourth generation of a family of solo violinists, Yury Revich is a winner of both ECHO Classic and International Classical Music Awards and enjoys a busy international schedule of concerts and concertos across the globe.
