A delightful programme of music by three of the greatest names from the 18th and 19th century show off the musical capabilities of this wonderful instrumental combination.\nHaydn’s best-known piano trio, the Gypsy Rondo dates from 1795 when he was visiting London. It was no doubt influenced by Tchaikovsky’s Piano Trio premiered in Moscow just the year before.
